I have the book running loose and i didn't want this book it wasn't my first choice but what ever so I probs wont like it the book is easy but really boring. its relate-able to me because its about high school. It is a boring

ReplyDeleteI got the book running loose, this wasn't my first choice for a book but it is a good book so far. My first choice for a book was Chinese Handcuffs but this one was my second. My first thoughts on it are that its easy to read and not real boring. Its relate-able because it talks about a high school kids story. So far in the book the story seems interesting and it seems to be picking up speed. I've also made connections to other books that i have read in the past

DeleteI got the book Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes and this was my second choice, but the reason I chose this book was because it sounded interesting and different, I have never read a book like this before. I am happy with my choice because I think I will learn something from this book. Right now I think the book is ok just because it has only talked about how fat Eric is, but I feel like it will get a lot better. I have not made any connections yet, just because im not that far into the book.

DeleteI am reading Chinese Handcuffs, and this book was apart of my top 3 because I was interested how both main characters Jennifer and Dillon have both dealt with hardships and trials but i loved how they use each other to get through. If it were up to me, I would rather be reading Running Loose because that book I had more initial interest in. I am okay with the book I have while I wish it was Running Loose, I know that by the end of the book I will be happy with this one. Right now things are kind of back and forth, I find some parts interesting and other parts not.I am making connections with Jennifer a little bit, and just trying to figure out who Dillon is.Overall I am excited to continue to read the book and learn about the characters.

DeleteI connect to the character Dillon because he seems confused on how he feels about his brothers death as if he does not know how to deal with the death. Right now the book is an easier read, I cant wait to continue the story.

It was one of my top three books because after i read the description it seemed like it would be a pretty good book. At first its kind of hard to understand for me because he is talking about stuff that happened in the past and present and i get confused what is going on. The reading is somewhat interesting but not so much that i want to just keep reading. So far i havent really made any connections with anything.

My book, Chinese Handcuffs, started with a letter to a dead guy, then went to real life, then straight into real life. It was very hard to distinguish what was real life. So I definitely understand what you mean with all of the confusion. I hope the books sort themselves out for both of our sakes!

DeleteI chose the book Stotan as my second choice because it sounded interesting but I would of liked to have running loose, my first choice. this was one of my top three picks because Staying fat for sara did not sound good to me. I am okay with the choice of this book it seems to be an okay book so far i am excited to see where it goes. i think the book is off to a good start and they do a good job introducing the characters and who they are. i think the book is pretty enjoyable and i think the book is going to get a lot better as it goes on. i can not connect to it right now but i will see as the book goes on.

DeleteI agree that the book is kind of confusing in the beginning because the story doesn't start out like usual books do, there was no introduction to characters and it just jumped in to the letter to Dillon's brother Preston.

DeleteThis is Jonathan Krapfl, I am reading the book "Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes". I think it was my third pick because i was not very interested in it, but so far it's alright. I don't remember what order I put the books in but I know that "Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes" was not my last pick or my first. So far the book is alright, but at the start it didn't make much sense. I didn't even know that the main character was a guy until around the end of chapter one. At the start of the book it was very confusing and i didn't know what was going on. I am starting to understand it but its not that enjoyable or interesting yet.

DeleteI picked Chinese Handcuffs as my first pick because it seemed relatable and realistic. I also chose it because I have seen the book around school and thought I should give it a read. Although these may not the greatest motives to read a book, I am very happy with the book I chose. My initial thoughts on the blog are that I think it is a very different than any book I have ever read, but in a good way. It goes far deeper into human emotions than the books I usually read. This allows for deeper character understanding, and makes the characters become more human than any before. All together I really like this book and have a hard time putting it down at the end of class.

DeleteRunning loose was my number one pick, so I was pretty excited when I got that book. It was one of my top three books because I could relate to it and connect with the character. Also I like football books and the summary sounded pretty good. It was my number one pick so I am satisfied with my choice and so far the book is pretty good. My first thoughts on Running Loose are that at some point in the book there is going to be a big climax, because at the beginning of the book Louie was already talking about how his life got flipped upside down. So far the book is enjoyable and the reading is interesting because i can make connections too the football players and what they are feeling.

DeleteMy first choice was Running Loose by Chris Crutcher and I’m glad that I got the book I wanted to read. To be honest I’ve only chose this book because of its cover and its title. Running is one of my favorite sports, because I love the feeling when I'm out on the track, so I thought it might be interesting to read more about it. After reading the summary on the back I found out that Running Loose is not only about running, but also about football, high school, relationships and friendship.

I like reading about the American life of a teenager because it’s interesting for me to read about the differences between America and Germany in all kind of ways.
What are some of the differences that you noticed? Is this book an easy read?

ReplyDeleteI'm reading the book Stotan it was my second choice. so far I am really liking the book and I like the characters in it. I think it's cool that the author used swimming as the main character sport because even though I'm not a good swimmer I like going swimming. I really wish I was able to read Chinese Handcuffs but at least I got my second choice. Chinese Handcuffs sounded more interesting to me and I like the summary. All the other books did not sound good to me at all so I'm glad I didn't get any of them because I would not be able to read them.
I'm reading the book, Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes. This book was my third choice but i wanted to read all the books anyway so i'm fine with the book. In the beginning, i was a bit confused with who was narrating first. I also realized there is something wrong with Sarah and i'm interested to find out what it is. I feel as though, I myself have made some connections with the book. Both Sarah and Eric are outcasts and i consider myself as an outcast as well. Overall, it's a good book and i'm excited to see how it turns out.

DeleteI'm reading Chinese Handcuffs. I did not really care what book I got because they equally sucked. The book has been kinda interesting so far he told a story about them putting a cat in bag and beating the crap out of it because it scratched there dog.

DeleteI think that Stotan is a very good book, and it was number one on my list for choices. I've gotten to page 16 and so far it is kind of confusing, but i have an idea of what is going on. So far I like the book, because there is a conflict coming up for the characters already.

ReplyDeleteI picked the book Running Loose, it was my first choice out of the 3 books because it sounded interesting right away. I picked this book because it was the first one that I read the description of and I automatically wanted to read it. I read the other books descriptions and wasn't interested in any of them as much as I was with Running Loose. I was curious at what happened when the book description talked about a tragedy striking. I'm really happy with this book so far because it makes me want to keep reading it and not want to put in down. At first I was nervous when I started reading because I was unsure about it when they were talking about football but as I read further in I found out that I enjoyed reading about it. I'm not really making any connections so far but I'm still enjoying reading the book.
At least you're still reading it even though you aren't very interested yet. Because you know that there is a good part coming.

I love to swim so this book draws some interest to me. I was hoping to read the book "Staying Fat for Sarah Brynes" because the summary sounded interesting to me. The other books lost my interest mostly because the topics were boring.
As you started reading the book Stotan and got further into the book are you happy that you got this book to read? If not do you think that you could be as you start to read further into the book? I'm glad that you can connect to something in the book though.

ReplyDeleteI am reading the book Chinese Handcuffs which was my first option. I thought it was more interesting then the others. Its kind of confusing but i hope once i read more into it, it will get better. I cant relate to the book because most things in it i never experience so it draws some interest to me. The book kind of shows me how people handle things differently and just how different people can be.

DeleteI chose Running Loose because all the other books seem like really straightforward stories with some kind of hidden meaning behind it, but Running Loose seems pretty good with a twist in it from what the summary says. Its very good at being discreet about certain events that are probably going to be revealed as the book goes on, so I'm somewhat exited about how it turns out. I haven't made any connections yet, but I won't doubt I won't make any. I have a pretty good feeling about how this will turn out.

The characters in the book so far each have different characteristics and have their own strengths. I hope as I continue to read this book it continues to grow in excitement.

I choose this book after reading the back cover I liked that it has some mystery to it and that we would be learning about the characters past . I also was interested in the friendship of two people with " terminal uglies " as the back cover describes it and are best friends and how that is something that bonds them in a way . So far I really enjoy the book and what got me interested in the book is what as kept me interested . In the beginning their is a lot of background information of the main characters that has kept me interested and how wondering what might happen next and also with a few questions regarding their past

It was a little confusing at first because it kept jumping from one time period to another but the farther i get into the book the easier it is to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the book staying fat for Sarah Byrnes, and i was pleasant surprised to find its actually a decent and interesting read. I cant remember what order i put the list of books in but i'm glad i got this book instead of any of my other choices. Although it seems to be at a lower reading level than what us highschoolers are used to, we wont have a tough time staying focused thanks to its interesting descriptive language.

ReplyDeleteIm reading the book chinese handcuffs and there can be multiple hooks in the book. But i say the most important hook is where Dillion gets dating advice from Jennifers coach. I think its gonna have a big part in the book. I see those two getting together because the whole book relates around them. They have almost everything i common and without each other they wouldnt have overcame it and be kind of together.
